Spars: Spars are usually practice fights, sometimes friendly and sometimes not so friendly. These are not judged, unless asked to be, because there is usually an obvious winner. Injuries in a spar should not be serious, but it isn't unlikely that a wolf will walk away with bad wounds.
Dominance: A dominance fight occurs when either a wolf is acting out and someone tries to take care of it by putting them in place with their teeth and claws or when one wolf feels inferior by another. These are very common, and sometimes occur mostly inside of packs.
Death Matches: Exactly what the title says. These have to be approved with the other member, but it's common for them to happen without notice. This is only used ever so often when population is too high, and we don't encourage these to happen so much out of fun.
Rank Challenges: These are made when a wolf wants to increase their rank or just defend their rank from a rival. Rank Challenges don't end in death, but it isn't unlikely if it is also a Death Match. A wolf will submit by the time they are too injured to fight more, but your wolf does not need to submit at that time because it is mostly up to you how much damage your wolf takes. Keep in mind if you don't keep it realistic, it could cost you the fight.
Mate Challenges: Mate challenges are often used to the death, because some wolves don't want their challenger to still be alive after trying to get their mate. Again, death can only occur if it is a death match. These mostly occur when a male challenges another male for their mate.
Pack Challenges: In these, the wolf challenging must already be in that pack in order to challenge. This challenge can either be male or female, but it's highly rare that a female will challenge for ownership of the whole pack. If a female does challenge and wins, she can choose if the current Alphas leave or stays in the pack. When a winner is chosen, all of the former members will be changed to Loner status and they must get permission from the current Alpha in order to get back in. A new Alpha can change the pack however they want.
Raids(Pack vs. Pack): It's not unlikely that a pack will challenge another pack. They can challenge for hunting reasons, member reasons, or any other reason that the Alpha wants to declare war for. There's many deaths in a raid, but you cannot kill without permission from the member. A pack may challenge another pack for their land, so if the challenged pack loses, they must leave to find new land or simply disband and become loners.
